Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
VietLang ("we", "us") is a Vietnamese language-learning app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
•
Account info: if you create an account, your email address (and, for Google or Apple sign-in, the basic profile those services return).
•
Learning data: your level, streak, saved words, and quiz progress, so it syncs across your devices.
•
Feedback you send: suggested edits, reports, or messages you choose to submit.
You can use most of the app without an account — in that case your progress stays only on your device and is not sent to us.
What we don't do
•
We don't sell your personal information.
•
We don't show third-party ads or run advertising trackers.
•
We don't ask for more than we need to run the app.
How your data is stored
Accounts and synced progress are stored with our backend provider, Supabase, which hosts the database and handles sign-in on our behalf. Sign-in with Google or Apple is handled by those providers under their own privacy policies; we only receive the basic details needed to create your account.
How we use it
To run the app: to sign you in, save and sync your progress, respond to your feedback, and keep the service working and secure. That's it.
Your choices
•
You can sign out at any time.
•
You can delete your account and all its data yourself at any time — in the app, open the account menu and choose "Delete account." You can also email us and we'll do it for you.
•
You can keep using the app fully offline without an account.
Children
VietLang is a general-audience learning app and isn't directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app grows. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above.
